Free dictionary extensions for Google Chrome browser

People get lots of problem with the meaning of the word while reading some articles/news over internet. Threy they use some dictionary websites or simply the Google dictionary search to find the meanings of the words they didn’t understand. But switching the tabs on your browser and searching for the meanings of the words is a little boring job but also time consuming too.

But if you are a Google chrome browser user then there are some free extensions to install in your browser to find the meanings of your desired words easily staying within the same browser window. here are the list of some free extensions to enable dictionary lookup for the word in the webpage without switching your browser tab.

Google Dictionary

It is a Official dictionary extension for chrome browser by Google. After you install the extension, Double-click any word to view its definition in a small pop-up bubble staying within the same window. It also allows you View the complete definition of any word or phrase using the address bar dictionary.

Dictionary Lookup

This extension allows you to quickly look up definitions of words and phrases in a clean inline box. The definitions come from Wiktionary, but have been preprocessed to reduce formatting and provide faster lookup. Hold Ctrl and double-click or select any word to look it up – an inline box will open to the dictionary entry of that word, usually including examples, audio pronunciation and synonyms.

Quickrr Dictionary

After installation click the dictionary icon in your browser right to the address bar and search for the meaning of your sdesired word and get the complete meaning including quick Google Dictionary, Images & Wikipedia search to better define terms. It shows result within the frame window without leaving the browser tab.

Quick Dictionary

The Quick dictionary extension consists of two sections, dictionary and translator. It is also similar like Quickrr dictionary but it also translate the word to or from English in a popup without leaving the browser page.
